Elliott Wedding
Summer weddings are really common in western Washington because our winters are so wet. Brian and Kristin were definitely hoping for a dry wedding, but the clouds apparently had other plans and dropped over two inches of rain throughout the day. Thankfully, the barn at Kelley Farm in Bonney Lake was quick cozy, which meant we were able to enjoy the festivities without worrying too much about the weather.
We always like to pre-plan our evening portraits (scout for locations, test the lighting, etc) because it allows the bride and groom to enjoy their reception for as long as possible, with only a small break for pictures. The constant downpour meant we had to be extra swift with our outside time and we’re really happy with how their portraits turned out. In fact, from the getting-ready shots to the photo booth, this was one of the most beautiful and entertaining weddings we’ve ever photographed. Take that, winter storm! :p
Congratulations to the newlyweds – may you always be so resilient to the curve balls of life!
