Field of Dreams 2016
When we first started this business, one of our primary goals was to support worthy causes and charities. A good friend of ours works for Medical Teams International, which is an organization that provides medical relief to communities in need, both at home and abroad. For the past 15 years, they have hosted an important fundraising event at Safeco Field, and we were thrilled when they asked us to photograph it this year. At the event, donors get to explore a variety of creative exhibits that show what MTI does in the field and they are also given opportunities to contribute to MTI’s work in a variety of ways.
We had a great time at the photo booth as guests were arriving, which put everyone in a festive mood before the main event began. Dinner was served once everyone made it onto the field and there was a live auction that was hosted by Jim Dever and John Curley. Some of the more memorable items included fancy desserts that were delivered by Seahawks players, a beautiful piece of artwork that brought attention to the refugee crisis in Syria, and tickets to next year’s Super Bowl (where we hope to see the Seahawks showing their skill again). Between the direct contributions, matching campaigns, and the auction items, MTI raised over $1.6 million at this year’s event!
