Sikel Wedding

September 11, 2014

Gary and Katie are dear friends of ours and we enjoyed every minute we spent with them on their wedding day. Gary proposed on the dock near the wooden tower on Percival Landing so that’s where they had their first look. It was a beautiful, hot day so we took refuge in the shade of Tumwater Falls Park and the cool marble of the state capitol building. Their wedding took place at the Grand Holiday Ballroom in downtown Olympia. It’s a fantastic venue and their guests definitely had a great time eating and dancing.

Our favorite part of the day was actually in the evening. Gary and Katie wanted to go back down to the dock to watch the sunset. It was a couple days after the Mills Canyon fire in eastern Washington so the sky was incredibly colorful. It started to rain but they didn’t seem to mind getting wet so we suggested going down to the fountain. It was a brilliant decision and we captured some of our favorite shots of the day right at the end.

Congratulations to the newlyweds! We are blessed to call you our friends.
