Frey Wedding
The appeal of a destination wedding is obvious to any couple – there’s the beautiful setting, a glamorous resort with incredible service, and the convenience of enjoying your honeymoon without having to go anywhere else.
Page and Jordan’s wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico had all of these and more. One of the hidden benefits of a destination wedding is the opportunity to keep it small and intimate because only your closest friends and family are going to travel 1000+ miles to join you, which means you get all the best parts of a family reunion, college homecoming, and maybe a little spring break thrown in for good measure. It seemed like everywhere we looked there were hugs, glad reunions, and tears of joy – by the time we got to the ceremony, these two had already been celebrating for days.
And what a ceremony! Set against the amazing backdrop of the Pacific Ocean and standing next to a stately old cactus, Page and Jordan promised to love one another for the rest of their lives. The ceremony was full of many beautiful moments, including a reading from Page’s younger brother and a prayer by their parents over their rings. We challenge anyone to witness something so sweet without tearing up – there wasn’t a dry eye on either side of the aisle.
The party continued with a family-style dinner at the reception, complete with heartfelt toasts, a local craftsman who was making fresh cigars, and dancing that didn’t slow down until it was time to go home.
Everybody left this wedding with memories they will cherish for a lifetime, including us. Thank you, Page and Jordan, for inviting us to photograph your big day. We are so grateful to have had this opportunity and we wish you many happy decades together!
